ELITE RHYTHM EVENTING

About Emily
Emily is the owner and head trainer of Elite Rhythm Eventing. ERE operates out of Hunter's Bluff Farm in Covington, LA. Emily grew up riding horses and has a passion for eventing. Emily specializes in OTTB, green and young horses. Emily has experience eventing through Intermediate, Fourth Level Dressage, and 1.20 Jumpers. She is currently bringing her horse Milo through the upper levels. Since starting the business from ground zero in 2011, through all the highs and lows, Emily has built her program piece by piece.

Our program is built towards every horse and rider individually. Emily prides her self on having a fun, ambitious, positive, and supportive program. While eventing is an individual sport, ERE is more than just a team, it's a family.

Milo is a 2014 OTTB. He is a grandson of Tiznow and extremely athletic. Emily bought Milo in May of 2024. Milo has competed through the Preliminary Level. Within 6 months of forming their partnership, Emily and Milo were competing Preliminary. Since buying Milo, Emily has done a ton of work to strengthen him in all three phases. Emily has big future plans to bring Milo through the upper levels of FEI.

Milo is a favorite in the barn. He is a bit quirky but Emily thinks the world of him. His favorite snacks are cookies and super-sport. He really dislikes cold water and squirrels.

Meet Emily's Horses:
Major Milestone ERE aka Milo

Crescent City Classic ERE AKA Crescent
JULY 25, 1997 – SEPTEMBER 23, 2025
Crescent was a 1997 Thoroughbred/Holsteiner. Emily bought Crescent in August 2010 when she was a senior in college. During this time, Emily was on the verge of quitting jumping but Crescent became the horse that forged her future. He was Emily's first Intermediate and FEI horse. He gave her the feeling of being invincible. Crescent and Emily lived all over the US together from New York to Virginia to Oregon then returning to her home state of Louisiana.

In Jan 2015 Emily made the tough decision to sell crescent to teach another kiddo the ropes of eventing. Not much later Crescent made his way back into Emily's life in Oct 2022. From 2022-2025, Crescent taught many of Emily's students. Crescent competed in 101 USEA Events taking 12 riders safely through their events from 3/9/2001 to 9/28/2024. He was a once in a lifetime horses and made a huge impact in many lives. Unfortunately we lost him this summer, shortly after his 28th birthday. His memory lives on in the barn and in all our heart.

I've Got Rhythm aka Rhythm
Rhythm was a 1989 TB, who was sold to Emily in 2004 as a training packer. She was the first horse Emily ever bought after years of leasing and riding whatever she get her hands on. At their very first horse show together, Rhythm tore multiple core-lesions in her deep digital flexor tendon. Emily rehabbed Rhythm for 9 months before it was decided that surgery was necessary. In 2005 after surgery, Rhythm was donated to a therapy riding program.
Emily got Rhythm back in 2012. Rhythm then proceeded to take one of Emily's students to her first horse show, showing 2'6, and jumped the student to her first 3' fence. Rhythm ended up reinjuring herself in a freak field accident. Rhythm was put down in 2014 due to an incredibly rare form of muscle cancer - one of the few cases ever documented in horses. Rhythm was donated to LSU to preform research and a necropsy. Rhythm was incredibly special, always a teacher and continued to show her importance even after passing. Emily named her business in honor of the first horse she ever got to call hers.
